The Brilliant Tree

A brilliant tree in an ugly forest,

That is what you are.

You stand tall in the woods of bent trees,

You see the wretched forest for what it is.

But you cannot see yourself

So you war inside the branches of your mind.

You think that they are like you.

You think that you are like them.

And in an effort to unwicked the world,

You strike the only tree your branches reach.
