Your pain is my pain, darling,

Your sea of grief, my grief.

Your gladness stolen anywhere,

Confronts me as a thief.

The waxing of your heart, my bean,

Is summer shining full.

And yet your winter turns me too;

Your seasons in my soul.

I cannot dismiss your candid cares.

I cannot close my eyes.

When you have set upon something,

My heart, it there too lies.
